Kinghorn Golf Club

The old Clubhouse was built in 1894 and has served the club well for over a century. It has been the subject of two major extensions to try to cope with the needs of a modern golf club but those renovations never quite matched up to expectations. It is still a source of amazement that the building before modernisation housed the steward’s quarters as well as serving as the main facilities of a thriving golf club.

The council built the Pavilion many decades ago to provide facilities for the fee-paying public to their municipal course. The pavilion has shown its age for quite some time and had become very basic when compared to what is expected nowadays.

The new facility is being built in conjunction with Fife Council to provide accommodation for the starter, modern changing facilities for the fee paying visitor and a clubhouse for the members of Kinghorn Golf Club to be proud of. The original pavilion was knocked down to provide space for the new one-storey building which should provide spectacular views of the Forth estuary from its spacious lounge. Also included are the main amenities associated with a clubhouse including modern changing facilities with shower, locker rooms, meeting rooms and a place to relax after a hard 18 holes. More details will follow as the project is progressed.

New Clubhouse

We are moving! After talking about moving for several decades and a lot of very hard work from our committee we are finally fulfilling our dream of having our clubhouse within the bounds of the course. We hope to have the new facility open in May this year. It will be situated on the site of the old council pavilion.
